School with a difference
The child will be taught two English and one Hindi poem every month. The poems would be sent in monthly planner every month so that the parents can help him revise it at home.
While ABC would be taught in play school, recognizing A and a would also be part of curriculum. We would eventually move to writing alphabets once the child starts writing standing and sleeping lines.
There would be focus on vocabulary building. New words would be introduced everyday along with their meanings both in English and Hindi language.
There would a story book class every week in order to enhance the child’s listening and imaginative skills.
The child would be given role plays on certain festivals, according to fruits, colors, etc. It will not only enhance their speaking skills but also their confidence.
Once a week, every child would be given a chance to speak on mike in front of the class to enhance speaking skills.
In order to enhance motor skills, different activities of playing kitchen, playing in the sand, remove and fix, etc would be practiced.
Activities like Follow the Leader, Obstacle Course, Hurdle Race, pushing a Wheelbarrow, Swinging and Spinning, Clay Modelling, Sand Playing will also be held on daily basis to enhance motor skills.
Dancing and Music will form an important part of the curriculum. A dancing class would be held once a week.
Once a week, there would be a Yoga/Gymnastics/Skipping or playing in the park class. It would be informed beforehand.
To enhance logical thinking, children would be introduced to puzzles, pick and choose, beads and counting, sorting and sequencing, etc along with the learning of simple numerical.
Mathematical concepts would also be taught in the form of time, age, address, phone numbers, cooking and measurement.
To stimulate social development, children would be encouraged to play with each other, share toys, celebrate birthdays together, celebrating festivals and occasions together, etc.
Children would also be taught to respect other by visits of persons from different domains and explaining their role in the society.
Children would be taught about the different kinds of animals, their speech, their role in the community and being empathetic towards animals and wild life.
Children would be explained the role of trees, plants, vegetables and fruits. They would be taught the names and identify different vegetables, fruits, flowers, trees , etc. The monthly planner would be a detailed explanation to reinforce their learning at home.
They would be taught why planting trees is important and we will inculcate ‘Sustainable and Eco Friendly Living’ right from this age.
Field trips would be made once in six months with proper consent of parents.
Festivals like Diwali, Dussehra, Holi, Gurupurab, Christmas, Janamashtmi, Ganesh Chathurthi etc will be celebrated every year for kids to live harmoniously and respect all religions.
To inculcate the value of family, days like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Grandparents Day would be celebrated in school.
Days of National Importance like Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti would also be celebrated.
Scientific concepts of Sun, Moon, Stars and planets would be explained in a fun activity.
Various objects would be classified as solids, liquids; floating, doesn’t float; creatures that fly, swim, etc ; concepts of big and small , shapes, sizes and colors would be taught in fun activities.
We are the only play school in the vicinity to offer STEM based learning for science activities. We have Honk Kong and Singapore based institutions tied up with us to provide in house workshops for students to make scientific concepts easy and fun.
Once a week, a color day would be celebrated and kids would be asked to wear clothes of that particular color. Everything around that color would be demonstrated and explained.
Days of the week and months of the year would be taught in a fun manner.
We are the only play school in the vicinity to promote ‘Right Brain Development’. Various photographic memory games, puzzles, tangram, speed reading of flash cards, dramatic storytelling, etc would be done in a fun manner to stimulate right brain development.
We are the only play school in the vicinity to introduce ‘Phonics’ or ‘Phonetics’ at such a young age. In this, sounds are taught in a specific order that makes learning the alphabet easy and fun.
Workshops of Mathematics, English learning, Phonetics, Right Brain Development, Motor Skill Development, Child Psychology, Parenting Guidelines, Good Touch Bad Touch, Potty Training, Science and Concepts, Importance of Positive Language would be held time to time for parents as well. Our well known consultants would be called to interact with parents. Parents can even fix a meeting or zoom call with them a week prior to take any guidelines and help for the same.
We follow the ‘Reggio Emilia’ approach of teaching students through the world around them and through various activities. We encourage learning different languages from a young age.
Children can even be given Piano/Swimming/French classes with the consent of parents with a minimum deposit.
We also have multimedia activities in our school. Although we don’t encourage screen time, but once a while, an educational animation helps encourage imagination in kids.
Children would also be taught about basic hygiene, eating habits, self-care, etc.
They would be taught punctuality, discipline, obedience and sincerity.
Monthly planners would be provided to parents and timely PTMs would be held to update about the child’s progress.
Child’s daily activities would be shared via WhatsApp and so would be the events and things required.
Fancy dress parties would be held once a year and prizes based on various qualities in a child would be distributed.
